Alessandro Borghi will be in charge of interpreting the “Italian stallion” Rocco Siffredi
Netflix will take the life of the most popular porn actor of all time, rocco siffredito the small screen with ‘supersex‘, a new series that has begun filming in Rome.
The seven episodes of the series will be loosely inspired by the real life of Rocco Siffredi, “the Italian stallion”, who has more than 1,500 pornographic films in his filmography behind his back (although, more than behind his back, it would be… Well, anyway. You understand me). ‘Supersex’ will try to reveal unknown aspects of Siffredi’s life, which will be played by Italian actor Alessandro Borghi.
The series is created and written by the Italian Francesca Manieri, screenwriter of Penélope Cruz’s latest film ‘L’immensità’, recently seen in the Official Section of the Venice Film Festival. Manieri, recognized as an active militant in the feminist movement, describes the series as “a deep story that runs through his life from childhood”, said a statement from Netflix.
‘Supersex’ will focus on Siffredi’s family, his origins, his love relationships and “the starting point and the context that led him to embark on his path in pornography,” added Manieri. “’Supersex’ is the story of a man who needs seven episodes and 350 minutes to say ‘I love you’, to accept that the demon in his body is compatible with love. To do this, you must expose the only part of him we’ve never seen: his soul”.
“’Supersex’ talks about our present, ‘Supersex’ talks about us. What does it mean to be male? Are we still able to reconcile sexuality and affectivity? These are the questions that, like a kaleidoscope, open before us as we plunge into his incredible life until we lose our breath.” Maneri continued.
The directors of ‘Supersex’ will be Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini, and Francesca Mazzoleni. They complete the cast with Borghi Jasmine Trinca, Adriano Giannini and Saul Nannirespectively in the roles of Lucia, Tommaso and Rocco as a young man.
‘Supersex’ is already running as one of the most anticipated Netflix series of 2023.
