The HBO Max series will return with a new installment of chapters starring Kaley Cuoco, and we’ll tell you everything you need to know.
The syndrome of the miniseries that end up having a second season strikes again. And it is that, when something works, why would you want to say goodbye? ‘The Flight Attendant’ has been renewed for a second season, with confirmed stars like Sharon Stone as the mother of Cassie Bowden, and this success is not surprising. It came to HBO Max as a mystery thriller, but turned episode after episode into a fun adventure story led by a charismatic Kaley Cuoco and full of surprises and plot twists. The actress, who is also an executive producer of the series, has hit the nail on the head betting on this mix of comedy, suspense and drama that has hooked viewers.
The story, based on the novel by Chris Bohjalianfollows in the footsteps of Cassie (Cuoco), a flight attendant who flirts with one of her passengers, Alex Sokolov (Michael Huisman), and both end up spending the night together in Bangkok. But, when you wake up, everything will be problems. Without eating or drinking it, Cassie finds herself involved in a crime that she doesn’t even know if she committed, since her drunkenness from the night before doesn’t let her remember much. In addition, to this situation are added her serious alcohol problems and a childhood trauma that leads her to make all the wrong decisions. Knowing that she could become the main suspect in a murder, the protagonist will start an investigation on her own to get to the bottom of the matter.
Through its eight episodes, the first season of ‘The Flight Attendant’ knew how to maintain the rhythm, the interest and the tension, until it reached an ending that, although it completely closes the plot that has kept the protagonist busy throughout the story, leaves the door open for a sequel. And that’s what we’re focused on now: the second season of the series is just around the corner and this is all you need to know.
‘The Flight Attendant’, season 2: Release date
In the same week that it aired its final episode, hbo max confirmed the renewal of ‘The Flight Attendant’, which will officially go from a miniseries to a long? route. At the moment, with that second season that we already smelled and that is now a reality.

When filming wrapped, we found out when Kaley Cuoco herself posted a series of posts on Instagram, which included a black and white photo of herself in the studio parking lot, as well as an emotional video they recorded at the end of their last scene of the season. The video was accompanied by this message:
“This is the official season 2 finale @flightattendantonmax 3 countries, 7 months, mega ups and downs, Covid etc. What a cast, what a team, what a team! Words cannot describe my gratitude, can’t wait for you guys to see it.” we did!”

‘The Flight Attendant’, season 2: What will happen in history?
In the series finale (which is not the same as in the book), we discover that the killer who has been leaving a trail of bodies is none other than Buckley (Colin Woodell), one of Cassie’s casual lovers. He killed Alex to find out where were the numbers of the bank accounts where he hid the money he stole from the clients of his mafia family. But, after he told him that they were inside a book, the murderer killed him without first checking where the book was, which, as we know, was in the possession of the protagonist. For this very reason, Buckley followed her every step of her investigation, hoping to find that book and give it to her boss, who is none other than Victor (Richie Coster), who is also the boss of Miranda (michelle gomez), whom he now wants to see dead.
All these events lead us to an alliance between Cassie and Miranda, who after all have a common enemy who has put a death sentence on their heads. Using her professional hitman skills, Miranda retrieves the book from her former boss, whom she kills, and leaves with her partner for Rome. What they don’t know is that Buckley is after them, and will assault them in her hotel, first “killing” Miranda and later trying to do the same with Cassie, whom he saves, surprise, his fellow flight attendant Shane (Griffith Matthews), who turns out to be an undercover CIA agent.
The last thing we see in the series is how the book reappears in Cassie’s coat, with a torn page (the one that contained the bank accounts) and a message from Miranda, who is not dead but living life with her new fortune. On her part, the protagonist has stopped drinking, her relationship with her best friend Ani (Zosia Mamet) and goes back to work (yes, he still has it!) and it is here that he finds the key to his second season: Shane is still working as an undercover steward and drops that she too could become a secret agent. “My boss keeps asking me about you,” he tells her, warning her that they will call her.
‘The Flight Attendant’ ends its season with the idea that Cassie Bowden could become a spy, which is really what she’s been doing all this time, only without pay or resources. And this is a line that the second season could follow. In addition, many of her main characters have been left a bit half-hearted: Ani left her job as a lawyer at a major law firm and now must find a way to use her incredible legal talents for something else, her hacker boyfriend Max (deniz akdeniz) almost got run over and we haven’t heard from him since then, his partner Megan (Rosie Perez) has gone on the run after it was discovered that he has been revealing government information to North Korea… His stories have reached a point where it will not be difficult to pick them up again.
‘The Flight Attendant’ Season 2: The Cast
Is there any doubt? Kaley Cuoco will play Cassie Bowden again in the second season of ‘The flight attendant’, and without her, the series would not exist. Along with her character, we have no doubt that we will see her partner again Megan (Rosie Perez)her lawyer and best friend Annie (Zosia Mamet)his colleague and newly revealed secret agent Shane (Griffin Matthews)his brother Davey (TR Knight)the ruthless assassin Miranda (Michelle Gomez) and Annie’s boyfriend, Felix (Colin Woodell), although he received a good blow that has him bedridden in the hospital. Let’s hope he recovers in time! His computer skills are going to be very useful for Cassie’s new adventures.
As new additions, the presence of a movie star has been confirmed: Sharon Stone, who will play Lisa Bowden, Cassie’s mother. From what is known so far about her character, the two have a complicated relationship and have long since lost contact, mainly because of Cassie’s alcoholism.
That’s how familiar the two were already during filming:
Also joining the season is the hilarious Mae Martin, star of the Netflix series ‘Feel Good’. It is still unknown what her role will be, but we already see her having a blast in these behind-the-scenes images shared by Cuoco on Instagram:
Among other names confirmed to join the second season of the series are also Mo McRae, JJ Soria, Callie Hernandez, Cheryl Hynes, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
