The plot of the holiday special will follow cosmic heroes Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff), who come to Earth in search of the perfect Christmas present to cheer up their Earth leader Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt). ). Peter Quill’s admiration for the actor was mentioned in the original film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, in a scene where the protagonist refers to Bacon as one of Earth’s great heroes. The actor said that mention nearly knocked him out of his seat at the theater when he went to see the 2014 film to honor director James Gunn, with whom he worked on the comedy “Super” (2010). .
