Keanu Reeves and Dogstar were booed at a metal festival
In an interview with the magazine QA, Keanu Reeves remembered when he was part of the rock band called dogstar and, during a presentation at the Milwaukee Metal Festin 1992, they were booed and cursed until they left the stage.
But, before actually leaving, they took advantage of the moment to provoke even more the audience that was already dissatisfied with the show: they played a cover of The Grateful Deadtoo hippie for a heavy metal event.
“We thought, ‘Well, they hate us. What are we doing here? What can we do? Let’s play one of Grateful Dead…’ and they kept yelling, ‘Fuck you, you suck.’ And the whole time I had the biggest smile on my face,” recalled the actor. Watch, below, a live performance by dogstar.
