O Pet Shop Boys paid tribute to Andrew Fletcherkeyboardist of Depeche Modewho died last Thursday, aged 60. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe talked about the colleague during the Dreamworld – The Greatest Hits Live Tour.

The British band performed on stage at Utilita Arena, in Newcastle, England, to remember their greatest hits, and after a setlist of 25 songs, Tennant and Lowe greeted Andy.

“This last song is about memories of those people who will no longer be with us,” Tennant told the audience before they played. “Being Boring”in a tribute to Fletcher, at the end of the show.

The band influenced a generation of artists in the electronic genre and achieved even more success with “Enjoy the Silence,” released in 1990. The band’s last visit to Brazil was in 2018, when they performed for 25,000 people at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo.
