This Tuesday (20th), Jessie J shared the song World of four letters and talked about her experience trying to have children for nine years old: “I wrote this song years after being told I couldn’t have children in 2014. In 2015 I was told I needed a hysterectomy to treat the pain I was in most days. I said no, and instead I changed mine. I continued a diet and embarked on a spiritual journey to healing. In 2021 I lost a child, but I never gave up hope. Always. Not once. Hope that, however I became a mother, she would always come to me at the right time. Of course or not. I wanted to have a child”the singer began.
Later, she explained that she discovered she was pregnant at an airport in Rio: “In September 2022 at an airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I found out I was pregnant. This song sounds so different now… I would say this is the end of baby posts. But it won’t be. I never felt more in my body and my purpose as it is now. Who I am as an artist is who I am in my life. Being a mother is now a huge part of my identity and existence and I will celebrate that every chance I get. Sky was 11 days old in these photos”he concluded.
