Elvis Presley’s half-brother has issued an apology for insinuating in a documentary that the singer intentionally caused his own death

“To all Elvis fans and my followers on Facebook or any network, I am sorry for the negative comments I made in a documentary about Elvis filmed last year.”
The statement came on Tuesday (27), when Stanley adapted his lines in the Amazon Prime documentary Elvis’ Women [As mulheres de Elvis]not yet available in Brazil.
In the film, he claims that Elvis committed suicide. “He premeditatedly took the drugs that killed him,” declared David Stanley. “Love, heartache, pain, exposure… he just couldn’t take it anymore.”

Through the networks, Stanley recognized the revolt of the singer’s fans in the face of his statements:
“There are no apologies for the comments and I completely understand why you would be angry. I love and always will love Elvis, and being a part of his family. He is more than worthy of your love. He loved you. I love you and all All I can do is ask you to forgive my irresponsible actions.”
Elvis Presley died in 1977 of a heart attack after an accidental overdose. The documentary Elvis’ Women still does not have a release date in Brazil.
