“This is the hardest decision of my life”; the singer said he needs to “learn to adapt to the impact of the syndrome”

The musician was on Saturday 24 at the Glastonbury Festival, when he needed the audience to help him finish the show. Capaldi revealed last year that he suffers from Tourette’s syndrome. “First of all, thank you Glastonbury for hosting me, singing along when I needed to and for all the wonderful messages that followed. It truly means the world,” the post read. “The fact that this is no surprise doesn’t make it any easier to write, but I regret to inform you that I will be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future.”
“I enjoyed every second of shows like this and hoped that three weeks apart would work for me. But the truth is, I’m still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette and it became clear by Saturday that I need to make a lot more time for get my mental and physical health in order so that I can continue doing what I love for a long time to come,” she continues.
The public helped Lewis Capaldi during the concert because he had involuntary tics and lost his voice at Glastonbury.

The singer later apologized to fans who had intended to attend performances on his tour which would span Europe, Australia, parts of Asia, the UK and the Middle East. In May, he released his second album, titled Broken by the desire to be sent from heaven.
“I need to feel good to perform to the standard you deserve. Playing for you every night is all I’ve ever dreamed of. So this is the hardest decision of my life. I’ll be back as soon as possible.”
