Ex-The Smiths Johnny Marr releases ‘Spirit Power: The Best Of Johnny Marr’ in November
Johnny Marrannounced a collection of new songs: Spirit Power: The Best Of Johnny Marr. The first single, “Somewhere” is out now, while the full album is due out on November 3rd via BMG.
“Somewhere” was written during a tour in which Marr accompanied The Killers It is blondie, last year. The artist told the press (via NME): “I’ve played in several arenas over the years, and in terms of songwriting, there’s nowhere to hide. For a song to work, it has to be a hit. I know it’s not very cool to think like that, but I grew up in a house where my parents listened to Motown, who couldn’t release a song if it wasn’t full of choruses.”
