Eduardo Costa has been authorized to use R$996.5 thousand of Rouanet Law funds for his next DVD, which will be recorded by December this year. The information is available on the official portal of the Ministry of Culture.

The new project raised funds through the company “Churrasco, Cerveja e Viola – CCV Eventos LTDA”, owned by Leandro Restino de Souza Porto. The country singer’s work will be titled “Eduardo Costa – The instrumentalist and the fashion of the viola of Minas”.

Interestingly, the Bolsonaro singer became known for criticizing the law during the 2018 presidential election, when he offended presenter Fernanda Lima for encouraging Rouanet. “More than 60 million Brazilians voted for the [Jair] Bolsonaro and now this idiot with this leftist speech! Of one thing she can be sure, the fight will end, the rope always breaks on the weakest side and the weakest side is where she is today,” he wrote at the time.

The statement published on social media led to a lawsuit at the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, where it was established that Eduardo Costa will have to pay compensation of R$70,000 to the presenter.

Taking advantage of the “mamata”, Eduardo Costa’s team did not comment on the ordeal of the project under the Rouanet law.
