Taylor Swift released this Friday (10/27) the re-recording of the album “1989” with the addition of five new songs. The album contains hits such as “Shake it Off” and “Blank Space”, as well as being known as the singer’s official transition to a pop career.
The new tracks come from “From The Vault” (from the vault, in Portuguese) which were written during the production period, but left in the first release of the album. The songs are “‘Slut!'”, “Say Don’t Go”, “Now That We Don’t Talk”, “Suburban Legens” and “Is It Over Now?” which complete the list of 21 re-recorded songs.
Album details
The new version of “1989” will have a CD with five different covers and a total of 21 tracks, five of which are new songs. The original album includes some of the artist’s greatest hits. This is Taylor Swift’s fourth re-recording following an announcement made in 2019, when the artist said he intended to “redo” her first six albums.
“The album ‘1989’ has changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with excitement to announce that my version will be released,” Taylor said on Instagram about her transition to the pop genre. “To be completely honest, this is my favorite re-recording I’ve ever done, because it’s the fifth track [‘From The Vault’] they are so crazy. I can’t believe they were left behind, but not for long!”
Taylor Swift’s re-recording is now available on digital platforms.
