Taylor Swift: Fans ask priest for projection on Christ the Redeemer to honor singer

Taylor Swift arrives in Brazil this week for shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo

Fans of Taylor Swift are making an appeal to PriestThe sea so that he can help pay homage to the singer with a projection on Christ the Redeemer. The idea reached the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paeswho published the religious’s Instagram to help with requests.

With so much repercussion, the priest started to delete some comments, but the attempt has been in vain.

“Dear Father Omar, the missionary of peace Taylor Swift is arriving in Brazil to sing her praises this week, and we would like to honor her arrival in Rio de Janeiro with a projection on Christ, to repay the affection she has for us”, joked one user.

Felipe Vinha also joined the venture: “Hello, Father Omar! Could you help us make a warm welcome in honor of Taylor Swift’s arrival in Brazil? Her arrival will be through a tour and is attracting a large flow of tourists who will immortalize even more memories of the wonderful city! She openly declares herself a Christian, an artist who never denied her faith. It would be very moving for Brazil, a country marked by its warm welcome, to welcome her with one of the 7 wonders of the world honoring her. God bless you bless Father! Hugs ❤️”

Many fans highlighted that Swift is a Christian and, therefore, the projection in her honor would be pertinent: “Good afternoon, Father Omar! As you see hundreds of fans asking you to project a tribute to the singer Taylor Swift. She is a Christian, she even speaks in several songs about her faith and how God was and has been important in her mother’s fight against cancer. She has donated food and money in every city she passes through as a form of thanks. This tribute to a singer who has always declared herself a Christian and always says how important faith is.”
