Taylor Swift fans organize to pay tribute to Ana Clara Benevides during this Monday’s show

Fans of Taylor Swift organize to honor Ana Clara Benevidesat the age of 23, after falling ill and dying during the show on Friday the 17th, at Rio de Janeiro. She was taken to hospital, but she suffered cardiopulmonary arrest and did not survive.

The decision came after the audience rebelled at Time for Fun (T4F), the singer’s team and the artist herself did not mention Ana Clara’s name in the next show, which took place on Sunday 19. Fans want pay this tribute in the performance this Monday 20th, after Taylor Swift sang “Champagne Problems”, a song from the album Always2020.

In a first press release, Update Swift Brasil, tells of information on the Brazilian singer with more than 200 thousand followers on . However, they released a second statement changing how they will remember the student on the show this Monday the 20th.

Now, account administrators are asking fans to hold up a sign that reads “Ana Benevides, she will be remembered.” The change came about after speaking with the student’s family. See the new announcement below:

The show on Friday the 17th took place on the same day that Rio de Janeiro recorded a record thermal sensation, which reached almost 60ºC, according to AlertaRio. Taylor Swift even stopped the show a few times to ask her team to deliver water to fans.

With an audience of around 60,000 people, the first show of singer Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” in Brazil was marred by tragedy on Friday night. Ana Clara Benevides, 23, was a fan of the artist and died after the show at the Nilton Santos stadium, Engenhão, in Rio.

T4F, responsible for organizing the show in Brazil, mourned the death and said it supported the young woman. However, in an interview with Fantastic, by Rede Globo, the young girl’s mother, Adriana Benevides, revealed that the T4F team and Taylor have not been in contact to provide support to the family. She had difficulty bringing her daughter’s body back to Mato Grosso do Sul, where her daughter was born.

Tickets For Fun, through a press release, reports that it has contacted Ana Clara’s family and reiterates that it is available to provide all necessary assistance.
