With an audience of around 60,000 people, the first show of singer Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” in Brazil was marred by tragedy on Friday night. Ana Clara Benevides, 23, was a fan of the artist and died after the show at the Nilton Santos stadium, Engenhão, in Rio.
T4F, responsible for organizing the show in Brazil, mourned the death and said it supported the young woman. According to a company note, the woman was “promptly assisted by the fire brigade team and paramedics and was taken to the medical centre” of the stadium. The young woman was then taken to the Salgado Filho hospital, where she died after almost an hour of treatment.
However, in an interview with Fantastic, by Rede Globo, the young girl’s mother, Adriana Benevides, revealed that the T4F team and Taylor have not been in contact to provide support to the family.
