With the mission of strengthening the Brazilian music scene, the Koala Festival lands in Portuguese lands to hold the first edition of the event in June 2024. The international debut will be in Cascais, Portugal, and Gilberto Gil is already confirmed in the program.

“Brazilian music is what moves us and what brought Coala Festival here. We have always worked to strengthen national artists. We have become a reference in Brazil and, now, we have the mission of taking our identity to Portugal. It is a very important step important for us”, comments Gabriel Andrade, founding partner and curator of Coala Festival.
The proposal for this first Portuguese edition is to broaden horizons and deliver a line-up that combines Brazilian chords with Portuguese-speaking music. To this end, the Angolan musician and writer Kalaf Epalanga will join the curation team for this edition in Portugal.
