Maria Gadu, renowned for her great hits in MPB, returned to the spotlight by explaining her departure from the media and the stage in recent times. With a career spanning 24 years, the artist revealed, in an interview with the website Heloísa Tolipan, that her break from activities was due to her focus on studies.
The singer highlighted her commitment to studying the History of Brazil, highlighting the importance of understanding the historical struggle of indigenous peoples. Gadú stated:
“The struggle of indigenous peoples is historic and, to collaborate in some way, study and experience are important.”
Building on the lessons learned in recent years, Maria Gadu revealed that he is preparing to release a new album, without a specific release date.
“It’s a beautiful and very Brazilian album. Furthermore, I continue writing and participating in projects that revolve around Brazilian biomes, collaborating with indigenous peoples”, she declared, reflecting: “I just returned to the stage, the future is still now.”
