Paramore became the first female-fronted band to win the Grammy for Best Rock Album

First of all, we are endlessly grateful to our fans, our team and the voting academy for making This Is Why such a significant moment for us, 20 years after the start of our career. It turns out that our win for Best Rock Album was a historic feat, as we are the first band with a female lead to take home a trophy in this category. Ridiculous but true! It is an honor for the Paramore to be a constant, albeit small, reminder for people to keep pushing to make these rock and alternative spaces more inclusive.

At the beginning of January, the band published a story on Instagram to let fans know that the show at the festival ALTER EGO it was canceled. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Paramore can no longer perform at the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on January 13th,” they wrote. “The band apologizes for any inconvenience.”
