British star Dua Lipa will release her long-awaited album this Friday (3) Radical optimismthe third of his career with 11 new tracks which include those already started Illusion, training season AND Houdini. The album is now available on digital platforms via WarnerMusic.
“I wrote this album while I was single,” says Dua. “I always came into the studio with some story fun and all inspired different songs. There’s an honesty that I didn’t have before,” complete.
In Radical optimismLipa has worked with an esteemed team of collaborators, which includes names like Kevin ParkerFrom taming the Impala, Caroline Ailin, Danny L. Harle AND Tobias Jesso Jr.
“Everyone’s backgrounds and ways of working blended very well, as friends and musically. We were very open with each other and I felt like in that room I could be vulnerable and talk freely about my experiences. The musicianship seemed so rich and exciting, and I wanted to dive in and be a part of it.”adds the singer.
Dua to describe Radical optimism as a “psychedelic pop” noticing this “there are musical breaks and a mix of different sounds, and when you listen with your eyes closed, a very visual world opens up.”
Radical optimism was inspired by self discovery by Dua and talks about the pure joy and happiness of having clarity in situations that previously seemed impossible to deal with.
