The singer is preparing a memoir with important events in her life
Singer Simony revealed this Tuesday (1/9) that she had a narcissistic relationship while undergoing treatment for bowel cancer, which has been in remission for ten months. The news came to light as part of the publication of a memoir about important events in the artist’s life.
“Unfortunately, I was in a narcissistic relationship. And despite all my emotional fragility and illness, I became stronger and was able to walk away. Every abuser dresses up as a protector. It’s never about care. It’s about power. They always want to be the good guy. And I know a lot of women experience this,” Simony wrote in an Instagram post.
Simony’s last relationship was with country singer Felipe Rodriguez, with whom she broke up in February after four years together. The two got engaged and shared time together during the artist’s treatment. Apparently, the ending was quite turbulent.
“Cancer has changed many things about me. Today I am much more mature, less needy and very confident. I know my value and I don’t waste my time, it is very precious. The emotional woman goes away and a confident, demanding and very happy woman arrives. Love yourself and always put yourself first. Don’t let anyone manipulate you emotionally”, Simony said at the time.
