Katy Perry performs for the third time at Rock in Rio This Friday the 20th closes the evening of Dia Delas on Palco Mundo and promises many surprises, since it will be the singer’s first show after the release of her new album. 143. The opening song was Woman’s World.
The performance was created exclusively for Rock in Rio.
In a live broadcast in July, Katy explained that she chose to release the album on Rock in Rio because she has a very strong connection with her Brazilian fans. She spoke about it again on the broadcast: “I could have chosen any night, but I chose September 20 because I wanted to share it with you.” Afterwards, she sang Dark Horses.
Katy Perry invited Cyndi Lauper on stageat 1:05, and together they sang From time to time accompanied by their guitarists. Cyndi Lauper, 71, had already performed earlier, at 7 p.m., on the same stage.
