The show Amazônia para Semper will be held on a floating stage during the Climate Conference and will be broadcast worldwide
The organizers of Rock in Rio and The Town announced this Saturday (21/9) a new event in the Amazon. Called Amazônia para Semper, the show will take place during the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-30), which will be held in Belém in 2025. The show will take place on a floating stage in the shape of a water lily in the middle of the Guamá River, which runs through the city of Belém, with a major international attraction yet to be revealed. The presentation will be broadcast worldwide with the aim of raising awareness about the preservation of the Amazon and climate change.
“Amazônia para Semper aims to raise awareness and help protect the planet’s climate and biodiversity. We are using the mobilizing power of Rock in Rio and The Town to draw attention to this important cause,” said Roberta Medina, vice president of brand reputation at Rock World, the company that created and organizes Rock in Rio and The Town, and also produces Lollapalooza Brasil.
In addition to the international exhibition, the event will host on the same day an open and free show with regional and national artists, whose names will be announced soon, along with the location where it will take place. During the press conference announcing the news, singer Gaby Amarantos was introduced as the ambassador of the project.
