The singer returns from his break from the stage preparing for the new album, which is scheduled for release in October
Shawn Mendes is about to land in Brazil to close the world stage of the last day of the Rock in Rio 2024next Sunday, the 22nd. The 26-year-old singer will be the main attraction on stage and will perform after Luiza Sonza, Ne-Yo AND Acon, in a show that marks his return after a long hiatus.
In 2022, Mendes canceled more than 80 shows on his tour Wonder: Around the World for mental health reasons. Since then, he has performed only twice, in August this year, on small stages in New York and London, where he played his next album, entitled Shawnin full.
His first major performance in two years will take place at the Rio de Janeiro festival, and due to the long break, Mendes’ setlist is a little harder to predict.
