Olivia Rodrigo was questioned by border police during the Guts World Tour

Olivia Rodrigo shared an unusual experience she had crossing the US border after her shows Courageous world tour. In a recent appearance on Tonight’s show With Jimmy Fallonthe singer revealed that she was questioned by police officers due to a case of mistaken identity, which left her team and Olivia herself in a panic.

While returning from Canada to Portland, Olivia, 21, was surprised by police at 3am. When she handed over her passport, she was called by name, which initially made her think that the officers just wanted an autograph. However, the reality was quite different. “I got off the tour bus delirious, thinking they were just asking for an autograph, but eventually I was taken to an interrogation room“Olivia said.

During the interrogation, the police asked her if she had already been arrested, leading the singer to doubt herself and feel distressed. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, maybe I got arrested and I didn’t know it.’ He scared me, saying he might go to prison for lying to a federal agent. I was panicking because I wouldn’t be able to get into America!” revealed.

Olivia Rodrigo: Relief after 30 minutes of interrogation

After an intense interrogation lasting about 30 minutes, the police realized that they were confusing Olivia with a criminal with a similar name, *Olivia Rodríguez*. “He asked me my name, I said ‘Olivia Rodrigo. RODRIGO’ and then he said: ‘Oh, there’s a girl who looks like you, the same age as you, who has been arrested several times. Her name is Olivia Rodriguez‘” recalled the singer, still visibly irritated by the situation.”I was pissed! How did you not look at the name on that thing before questioning me for 30 minutes?! But ugh, crisis averted.”
