Iron guitarist Maiden was notable for diverse jumps, dances and stunts with his instrument; Esmergic performance has already generated setbacks
Who has watched a show of Iron Maiden In the last 35 years it was certainly surprised by the presence of stage of Janick Gers. The guitarist, who joined the band in 1990 and from there it no longer came out, draws attention for a performance that involves leaps, dances, races, and various movements with his instrument-especially throwing him up and catching it, all this while the sound is rolling.
Fans are entertained, but sometimes they roll off setbacks. Gers has already let his guitar fly out of the stage and even suffered falls. More commonly, it happens to end up playing something wrong. It’s life.
But why does he adopt such insane stage presence? In an interview with Classic Rockthe 68 -year -old English musician revealed that it is simply so. And not just on stage: when recording, in the studio, it also expresses itself physically.
“Even when I’m in the studio, I’m 100% nervous energy. I just like to connect and play. It’s the same when I’m playing live. For me, it’s all about intensity. ”

Not even the exhaustive routine on the road is able to leave Janick discouraged with his live performances. The musician has ensured that the mood is renewed when it is about to take the stage.
“Sometimes you are on the side of the stage and you are exhausted, you have traveled all day, your knees are killing you. But then you run to the stage and – bang! – You are in another world. ”
In the end, Gers can’t explain for sure what happens to himself. However, he left a message: Beware of coming close to him during an Iron Maiden concert.
“On stage, I feel this aggression, like an erupting volcano. I’m completely crazy up there. I don’t know why I shake my guitars. I have no idea. But one thing I know: If you get close to me while I’m swinging this guitar, you’ll be hit! ”
