Musicaa family that had their lives saved by Metallica


Couple and daughter had bought tickets for the band’s show that took place on May 7; McKEE could not attend the event after incident


A family of Virginia, in the United States, said it had its lives saved by the Metallic. The McKEE went to an American Heavy Metal band concert the morning after the situation, which led them to go to sleep early the night before.

Instead of watching television later, the family chose to go to sleep earlier to prepare for the group’s show. Some time later, his house was destroyed when a car broke into the living room.

Kristin McKee told the story to the newspaper WDBJ7 (via LUDWIRE). The woman said she had asked her husband if he wanted to stay up watching TV:

“He said something like, ‘Oh, I think I’m just going to sleep,’ and I said, ‘Okay, I’m going to sleep too.’ And then, just a few hours later, we heard a high explosion, glass breaking, and from there it was pure crazy.”

The family did not attend the Metallica show, which took place on May 7. Despite all the stress caused by the accident, the McKEE are grateful for how the situation unfolded:

“We were very lucky because that night my daughter managed to walk the hall and found us in the rubble, and, you know, I thank God every day – and Metallica – for saving us, because that’s exactly what happened.”

MADELINEdaughter of the couple, is also a fan of the band. In addition to growing under the influence of the father, he also enchanted with the group after hearing “Master of Puppets” in Stranger Things (2016).

In a letter directed to Metallica, the 14 -year -old girl wrote:

“You have saved my parents’ lives. I will be forever grateful. Good luck with the rest of the tour and hope to see them on the road. Sincerely, Maddie McKee.”
