The new special album of the Chrissie Hynde Duet brings collaborations with Brandon Flowers, Cat Power and Rufus Wainwright and will be released on October 17th
Chrissie Hyndethe legendary foundation of PretenseHe has just announced the release of his new album Duetos, entitled Special duets.
The album brings Hynde Join an impressive team of artists, including Brandon Flowers (from Assassins) ,, Cat power, Dave Gahan (Depeche mode) ,, Debbie Harry (Blondie) ,, Shirley Manson (Grubby) ,, Alan Sparhawk (Bass) ,, Lucinda Williams, Dan Auerbach (from Black keys) and the deceased Mark Lanegan. In Special duets, Chrissie And your guests play icon songs like Elvis Presley, Morrissey, Bass, 10ccYou Giusti brothers, Billy Paul AND Brenda Holloway. The album also includes a version of a song from Beatles with Julian Lennon. For the debut single, Chrissie joint Rufus Wainwright To interpret the classic “Always in my mind”Originally Written by Wayne Carson, Johnny Christopher AND Mark James and published in 1972 by Gwen McRae.
Hynde commented on the album and music:
I never thought of making a duet album before. The idea came in 2023, when I was talking Jörnhusband Rufus Wainwright. We were recommending the books and suddenly, I said: ‘Maybe the Rufus And I should do something. ‘I wrote 10 songs in time and Jörn he asked for the Rufuswho came across. And so it started, something spontaneous and that I thought it would be fun.
