New film features the return of Ethan Hawke as the terrifying Kidnapper and an even darker plot
The Black Phone 2sequel to the global phenomenon that grossed more than 160 million dollars in 2022, opens in Brazilian cinemas this Thursday, October 16th. The film brings back the director Scott Derrickson (The Entity) and the star Ethan Hawke (Training Day) in the role of Kidnapper. Find out if the new feature has post-credits scenes:
What is the story about?
The plot jumps four years after the escape of Finn and the death of the Kidnapper in the first film. Despite the time, Finnplayed again by Mason Thames (How to Train Your Dragon) still deals with the deep trauma of the kidnapping. Terror resurfaces when his sister Gwenlived by Madeleine McGraw (Toy Story 4) starts receiving mysterious calls in his dreams. The visions take her to a haunted winter camp, where she witnesses the spirits of new victims. Amid a heavy blizzard, the brothers will need to come together to face an evil that, even after death, has become more powerful than ever.
Who is in the cast and production?
The cast features the return of key figures and new additions. Ethan Hawkefrom Training Dayputs on the Kidnapper’s mask again, promising an even more ghostly presence. Mason Thames (How to Train Your Dragon) and Madeleine McGraw (Toy Story 4) return as the brave brothers Finn and Gwen. They are joined by the Oscar nominee Demián Bichir (The Nun), Arianna Rivas (Relentless Rescue) and Maev Beaty (Beau’s Afraid), in addition to Jeremy Davies and Miguel Morawho also reprise their roles.
