The publication details the allegations against the musician, with three women claiming that the “sexual interactions” they had with Butler between 2016 and 2020 they were inadequate due to age differences and power dynamics.
A fourth person, who is gender-fluid and used the alias of lily for the relation of pitchforkargued that Win Butler sexually assaulted them twice in 2015.
“(Butler) slipped his hands in his pants without consent,” he has declared lily, as he took them home after they had gone out for a meal “strange”.

I vehemently deny any suggestion that I have imposed on a woman or asked for sexual favors. This simply, and unequivocally, never happened.” commented the lead singer Arcade Fire. “Although these relationships have all been consensual, I feel sorry for anyone I hurt because of my behavior. Life is full of tremendous pain and mistakes, and I never want to be part of the cause of someone else’s pain.”explained the musician.
And he concluded: “I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused – I’m sorry I’m no longer aware and in tune with the effect I have on people – I made a mistake and even if it’s not an excuse I will continue to try to move forward and heal what I can be healed and learn from past experiences. I can do better and I will do better “.
