“Rock In Rio” 2022 started on Friday 2nd and has already left fans with high expectations for the attractions. In all its editions, the festival has brought great names in national and international music to the City of Rock, breaking attendance records.

In 1985, the same year that “Queen” performed at the event, the band “Barão Vermelho” also stirred the crowd, again with Cazuza on vocals. The band played career hits and Cazuza took the opportunity to comment on the country’s political scene before singing “Pro Dia Nascer Feliz” in a hopeful speech for young people.

Another great moment was when Stevie Wonder played on the fourth night of the festival in 2011. The singer was cheered by the crowd and performed hits like “I Just Called to Say I Love You” and “The Girl From Ipanema” in one cover.

Singer Katy Perry has had proof of fame that Brazilians are the most excited fans at concerts. In 2015, when she returned to Brazil for the festival, the crowd went wild during the song “The One That Got Away” and it was almost impossible to hear the artist more than her as the audience sang even louder than her.
