Alfonso Herrera Won’t Return to ‘Soy Rebelde’ Tour Stage After Group’s Nearly 15-Year Hiatus
Ticket sales for Mexican band Rebelde’s new tour begin on Friday the 27th and fans are already camping in line to secure tickets. The group is back after a nearly 15-year hiatus with I’m Rebel Tour.
Anahí, Dulce María, Christian Chávez, Maite Perroni and Christopher von Uckermann return to the stage in the tour that will visit Brazil, the United States, Chile, Argentina and Mexico. However, Alfonso Herrera, who played Miguel in the telenovela teenagerwill not attend the meeting.
After speculation about the reason for ‘Poncho’s absence, rumors gathered strength that the actor disliked being associated with his past and teen soap opera.
Alfonso then spoke of the rumors. “Generally I don’t pay attention to magazines that only promote unpleasant things, but I think it’s important to expose some points that come from me and not from an invention. Denying my past implies denying my present, money isn’t everything and it doesn’t motivate fully my decisions,” he wrote on Twitter.
But the actor said he was grateful to his fans. “Rebel meant and still means chasing your dreams and being consistent with what you want out of life, something I try every day…sometimes I succeed and sometimes I learn. And to the fans my eternal gratitude for so much support and love Happy 2023,” he concluded.
The Mexican group, which had success in the 2000s with the telenovela Rebel, which gave rise to the band of the same name, has had a trajectory full of quarrels, controversies and disagreements behind the scenes of recordings and performances.
