Ukrainian pop singer Nastya Kamenskikh, known professionally as NK, has been added to Ukraine's Myrotvorets database following a scandal over comments she made about the Ukrainian language.
The entry states she was added for "humanitarian aggression" and for "information and propaganda measures aimed at destabilising social life in Ukraine."
Myrotvorets, whose name means "Peacemaker," is a Ukrainian website that publishes the personal data of people it considers a threat to the country's national security, including public figures accused of pro-Russian sympathies or of undermining Ukraine's position during its war with Russia.
Cyst and lost voice claim
Kamenskikh had earlier said that after switching from Russian to Ukrainian in her career, she lost her voice and developed a cyst, a claim that appears to have prompted her addition to the database.
She said she had been on tour at the time when the cyst appeared and she lost her voice, leaving her unsure what to do and forced to postpone concerts. She said a psychologist she consulted told her to go back to speaking Russian, saying her body could not accept the change and that the problem was purely psychosomatic. She said she believed in psychosomatic illness and that everything that happens to a person starts in the head.
She made the comments during a recent joint interview with her former musical partner, the rapper Potap, given to a Russian journalist.
Potap's remarks on leaving Ukraine
Kamenskikh rose to fame as one half of the duo Potap and Nastya, alongside the rapper Oleksiy Potapenko, known as Potap.
During the same interview, Potap made what was described as a new cynical statement about mobilisation and his own departure from Ukraine during the war, effectively admitting he had used charity work as cover. He said he was travelling out of the country for a charity event while also carrying out commercial activity at the same time.
