The band dissolved in 2009 after a high-profile feud between the brothers, making their surprise 2025 reunion one of the biggest events in modern rock history.
Documentary content and exclusive interview
Directed by filmmakers Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the documentary provides an intimate look at the group's return. The directors captured closed-door rehearsals, backstage nerves, and concert performances that restored excitement to Britpop, recording the reactions of both the band and multi-generational fans.
Southern and Lovelace are established music documentary directors who previously helmed the 2012 concert film Shut Up and Play the Hits, which documented the final performance of the American band LCD Soundsystem.
A key highlight of the Disney+ release is previously unreleased footage from the first face-to-face interview that Liam and Noel Gallagher have given together in more than two decades.
According to the film's production team, the interview shows sincerity and rapport between the brothers, offering insight into how they made peace. The expanded version of the documentary also features full concert performances of signature tracks, including Wonderwall and Half the World Away.
The production team noted that the film celebrates the healing power of music while examining a reconciliation that previously seemed impossible. They added that the documented passion and cinematic sound quality serve as a preview for the band's upcoming European shows.
The Gallagher brothers previously drew major public attention when they appeared together in Venice to present the documentary project to international audiences.
European tour and Spanish concert dates
Building on the success of their Live 25 shows, Oasis is preparing to take their live performance to a larger scale with their upcoming Live 27 European tour.
The upcoming tour includes two major stadium dates in Spain, marking a central feature of the band's itinerary on the Iberian Peninsula.
The Spanish concerts will begin on July 15, 2027, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. The band will then travel to Barcelona for their second and final Spanish performance on July 18, 2027, at the Estadi Olímpic.
The Santiago Bernabéu is the famous 85,000-seat home stadium of Spanish football team Real Madrid, while Barcelona's Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys was originally constructed for the 1992 Summer Olympic Games and routinely hosts major global touring artists.
Promoters reported that ticket demand for both Spanish shows has been exceptionally high, reinforcing the strong connection between the band and their Spanish fanbase.
In additional music news noted alongside the tour announcement, singer Robbie Williams recently performed the Oasis hit Wonderwall during a concert in Colombia, publicly telling the crowd that he did not need permission to sing the track.
