Peruvian footballer Paolo Guerrero has denied splitting from Brazilian model Ana Paula Consorte following social media speculation triggered by an apparent Instagram security compromise.
The Alianza Lima striker clarified the status of his relationship after Consorte departed Peru alongside their children for Brazil amid rumors of an alleged pregnancy and social media unfollows.
Speculation regarding a rift intensified when social media users noticed activity on Guerrero's Instagram account linked to his former partner, Peruvian model and actress Alondra Garcia Miro. Guerrero explained that his account had been hacked and stated that he had already presented evidence to prove the security breach.
Speaking to a reporter from the Peruvian television program Amor y Fuego, Guerrero rejected claims of a separation, stating that he is focused on his work and remains in constant communication with Consorte and their children. He acknowledged that the situation had put him in an uncomfortable position and expressed hope that similar incidents would not happen again.
Social Media Activity and Departure to Brazil
Consorte left Peru for Brazil with the couple's children shortly after the social media incident occurred. Addressing reports that the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram, Guerrero minimized the importance of the digital gesture, stating that unfollowing one another did not reflect the true state of their relationship.
Guerrero added that he manages and resolves personal matters privately, emphasizing that family remains his primary priority. He stressed that both parents continue to speak regularly for their own sake and for the well-being of their children.
However, commentators on Amor y Fuego questioned Guerrero's explanation, noting that the footballer deleted all photos featuring Consorte from his Instagram profile after the incident. In contrast, Consorte retained several photographs alongside the sportsman on her social media account.
Pregnancy Rumors and Public Reaction
The controversy has drawn significant public attention in Peru, where Guerrero is a prominent sports figure as the captain and all-time top scorer for the national team, currently playing domestically for Lima club Alianza Lima.
In addition to the breakup rumors, speculation has mounted regarding a potential pregnancy. Entertainment host Rodrigo Gonzalez, known as Peluchin on Amor y Fuego, stated on air that reliable sources had confirmed Consorte is expecting another child.
Neither Guerrero nor Consorte has publicly addressed the pregnancy claims directly. Guerrero concluded by stating that his immediate focus remains entirely on his football career and delivering his best performances on the pitch.
