Singer Phoebe Bridgers has been forced to cancel her upcoming concert dates in the United Kingdom after being hospitalized with appendicitis on her 32nd birthday.

The Grammy-winning music artist shared a photograph on her Instagram stories on Wednesday showing herself resting in a hospital bed while wearing a plain black hoodie and a subtle smile.
Bridgers added text over the picture explaining that she developed appendicitis on her birthday and wrote to her fans: "Everything in the UK this week will have to move but I'll make it up to you!!!!"

The sudden health emergency forced the singer to postpone scheduled performances in Kingston upon Thames on August 19, Brighton on August 20, and Bristol on August 21. Event organizers confirmed that rescheduled dates for the three concerts have yet to be announced.
Before being admitted to the hospital, Bridgers had successfully performed two sold-out concerts at Union Chapel in London. Union Chapel is a historic Grade I listed church and live music venue located in the Islington district of north London.
Banquet Records in Kingston, which was organizing the August 19 performances, posted a statement on its Instagram stories to notify ticket holders of the cancellation.

"TONIGHT'S PHOEBE BRIDGERS SHOWS ARE OFF," Banquet Records announced on social media. "as on her insta story (pictured), Phoebe is unwell - get well soon!! - so the Kingston events will have to move."
The record store added in a follow-up statement: "We of course wish her all the best, and apologise for any disappointment. we're working closely with her global teams, and will update soon as we can."
Representatives for Bridgers did not immediately return requests for comment regarding her hospitalization or plans for rescheduled concert dates.
New Album Release and Fan Events
The health scare comes during a busy period for Bridgers, who celebrated the release of her third solo studio album, Lost Weekend, on August 14, just three days before her 32nd birthday.

The 16-track LP features songs including "The Outside," "Lost Boys," "The Governor's Waltz," and "Still Standing." Listeners noted that one track on the new record appears to deliver a lyrical dig at her ex-boyfriend, actor Paul Mescal, and his current girlfriend, singer Gracie Abrams.
Earlier in the month, Bridgers hosted a special roller-skating listening party in Glendale, California, where fans gathered to hear the new material ahead of its official release, according to a report by Variety.
Lost Weekend marks the singer's first solo album in six years, following the release of Punisher six years earlier.
Speaking to the crowd during a fan Q&A session at the Glendale listening event, Bridgers reflected on the long gap between solo projects. "I mean, I didn't love all parts of being away," she admitted.

"I kept booking studio time and then putting it off… and booking studio time and putting it off, and putting it off… I really wanted to be making something," Bridgers told attendees. "I just started going in and then taking six months off and then going back. So this album took forever. Which is great!"
Upcoming 2026 Lost Tour Details
Bridgers is scheduled to embark on her headline 2026 Lost Tour later this year to support the new album. The tour is slated to begin on September 14 with an opening performance in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The North American leg of the tour includes scheduled stops in major cities including Chicago, Illinois; Brooklyn, New York; Toronto, Ontario; Nashville, Tennessee; Inglewood, California; and Seattle, Washington.
Following her North American dates, Bridgers is scheduled to begin touring across the UK and mainland Europe in November. The concert run is set to conclude in Stockholm, Sweden, on December 12.
Attendees at the upcoming tour dates will experience a phone-free environment. Bridgers announced that the concerts will enforce a strict no-phone policy covering smartphones, smartwatches, and other portable electronic devices, according to Rolling Stone.
