Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia Make Surprise Palma Visit

Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía accompanied Queen Letizia on an unannounced private visit to Fundación Esment in Palma, Mallorca. The appearance came as a surprise during the Spanish royal family's annual summer stay on the Balearic island.

The three royals toured the facilities of Fundación Esment, a Mallorcan non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life and creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. The foundation has provided community support and vocational programs in the region for decades.

During the private outing, Queen Letizia and her daughters focused their visit on the organization's print shop, a specialized vocational training center where service users work in a real employment setting. The royal guests toured the workshop, listened to explanations from staff about their daily operations, and joined workers for spontaneous photographs and selfies.

The informal visit offered a relaxed contrast to the royal family's institutional schedule earlier in the week, which included the traditional summer reception at Marivent Palace in Palma. The palace serves as the official summer residence for the Spanish monarchy during their annual retreat to Mallorca.

Coordinated summer dresses and Mediterranean footwear

Princess Leonor, the heir to the Spanish throne, selected a blue and white printed midi dress for the occasion, featuring short sleeves, a fluid silhouette, and a slightly fitted waist. She wore minimal accessories, keeping the focus entirely on the dress pattern and her hairstyle.

The princess completed her ensemble with light-colored wedge espadrilles featuring fabric ribbons tied around the ankles. Espadrilles are traditional Mediterranean footwear with jute soles that have long been a fixture of the Spanish royal family's summer wardrobe.

Infanta Sofía chose a complementary outfit tailored to her own style, wearing a short black and white dress with an abstract print, a wrap neckline, and short sleeves. The shorter hemline provided a casual alternative to her elder sister's midi length.

The younger princess paired her dress with neutral flat espadrilles, establishing a shared aesthetic with her sister while maintaining an independent look. The combination of printed dresses and espadrilles created a cohesive visual link between the two sisters.

Natural curly hairstyles and relaxed royal fashion

Princess Leonor once again highlighted her natural hair, wearing her long locks loose with volume and defined curls from the root. She previously showcased the naturally curly texture during the official reception at Marivent Palace earlier in the week.

The deliberately natural hair choice marked a change from the structured waves, polished up-dos, and sleek ponytails that the princess typically wears during formal state events and official engagements.

Infanta Sofía opted for a contrasting hair style, wearing her long hair straight and loose. The distinction reflected the individual beauty choices of the two sisters despite their coordinated outfits.

Queen Letizia also adopted a comfortable Mediterranean outfit to accompany her daughters. The Queen wore a blue blouse with three-quarter length sleeves, light-colored trousers, and classic espadrilles, matching the relaxed spirit of the visit.

The unannounced appearance highlighted the sisters' growing preference for coordinating their outfits through shared themes and traditional footwear without dressing in identical garments.
