Spanish hairdresser and television personality Raquel Mosquera has confronted growing reports that her marriage to her husband Isi is in crisis while he remains in a French prison for drug trafficking.
Speculation surrounding the couple has intensified following details of Isi's arrest in France, where he was detained after attempting to board a flight with a shipment of cocaine concealed in his stomach.
Mosquera has publicly defended her Nigerian husband through official statements and television interviews, explaining that he acted as a drug mule in an attempt to settle a relative's debt with a criminal mafia.

Despite her public stance that Isi was coerced and acted out of altruism, doubts have emerged regarding the stability of their relationship after more than a decade together.
Reporting by the Mediaset entertainment program Fiesta on Spanish network Telecinco highlighted potential cracks in the marriage, suggesting two possible scenarios regarding Mosquera's knowledge of the illegal operation.
Panelists on the show questioned whether Mosquera genuinely believed her husband's explanation or whether she was aware of his illicit dealings and chose not to intervene.
Television reports point to private strain
The program reported that while Mosquera continues to defend Isi on television sets to protect their family's reputation, her private stance may be significantly different.
According to the broadcast, Mosquera has privately reproached her husband for swallowing cocaine containers and endangering his life, their children, and the financial stability of their home.
Mosquera addressed the rumors directly when approached on the street by a reporter from Spanish news agency Europa Press while walking with her two children, Raquel and Romeo.

Initially attempting to shield her children from the media, Mosquera expressed respect for the journalist's work but refused to comment on the intimate details of her relationship.
She questioned the source of the rumors, suggesting that journalists might have ulterior motives for alleging a breakdown in her marriage.
Mosquera told the reporter that she was on her way to work with her children and would say nothing further, advising the journalist to direct questions to the people originating the claims and ask why they were making them.
Protection of children and prison status
Protection of her children remains a priority for Mosquera, who has refused to allow Raquel and Romeo to visit their father at the prison facility in Paris.
Mosquera maintains that a prison environment is unsuitable for young children and fears it would damage their perception of their father.
She continues to maintain Isi's innocence, asserting that he was manipulated by criminal networks, while he remains scheduled to serve his sentence in France until next year.
Mosquera first achieved national prominence in Spain through her marriage to the late Spanish world championship boxer Pedro Carrasco, before establishing her career as a salon owner and media figure.
