Rodrigo González Criticizes Sheyla Rojas Over Her Son

Television presenter Rodrigo González publicly criticized influencer Sheyla Rojas during a live broadcast of Amor y fuego following political developments involving candidate Joaquín Ramírez.

González questioned the former reality show contestant over her personal priorities and her relationship with her son after electoral authorities disqualified Ramírez from upcoming regional elections.

The Special Electoral Jury of Cajamarca disqualified Ramírez, a candidate for Regional Governor representing the Cajamarca Renace movement, from participating in the 2026 regional and municipal elections. The decision followed a challenge filed against the former Fuerza Popular congressman for allegedly omitting information in his sworn resume declaration.

Before the electoral ruling, Rojas spent several days in Cajamarca alongside Ramírez and accompanied him on electoral campaign activities. The former Estás en todas co-host confirmed that she was getting to know Ramírez and did not deny a romantic link between them.

Criticism of personal priorities

During the entertainment show, González rejected framing the relationship as a romantic story and stated that Rojas is driven by personal interest. The host noted that while seeking personal benefits is part of individual choices, there is a clear distinction between having interests and making them a primary priority.

González deepened his criticism by bringing up her child, who lives in Spain with his father, Antonio Pavón. Addressing the friend of television host Magaly Medina, González questioned why she does not spend more time with the minor.

González said her son is better off with his father's family than with her because she spent the last decade busy looking for a wealthy husband. He linked her absence to the personal decisions she made over the past ten years.

Electoral disqualification and studio reactions

The disqualification of Ramírez by the Cajamarca electoral authority coincided with the public exposure he received while traveling with Rojas. Her presence on the campaign trail generated widespread discussion among the show's presenters.

Co-host Gigi Mitre mocked Rojas's presence during the campaign tour in the region. Mitre laughed and said Rojas already saw herself as the first lady of Cajamarca and was going to be Miss Chota.
