Roxanne Hart, 74, and her husband Philip Casnoff, 77, were spotted together during a rare joint outing in Los Angeles late last week. Exclusive photos obtained by the Daily Mail showed the married film and television stars taking care of some shopping around town.

The pair were photographed heading back to the parking lot after running errands together.

The 74-year-old actress is best known for her star turn in 1986's cult fantasy film Highlander, and her husband, 77, worked in a major Steven Spielberg film in the past decade. Can you guess who they are?

Casnoff, meanwhile, has built a long career as a television guest star and director, and worked with Steven Spielberg on one of his more recent film projects.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Hart and Casnoff for comment but had not received a response.

Highlander and Hart's Career

Hart's biggest role to date came in Highlander, in which Christopher Lambert played a man born in the Scottish Highlands in the 16th century who discovers he belongs to an immortal race locked in battle for control of humankind after encountering an older member of the same group, played by Sean Connery. After centuries of loss, the character arrives in 1980s New York City for a final battle with an evil immortal rival.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Hart made her theatrical debut in a New York production of Peter Shaffer's Equus before touring with the show. She built her early reputation on Broadway through several 1980s productions, culminating in Peter Nichols's Passion Play, for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play in 1983.

Her film career began with an uncredited role in the 1979 adaptation of Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar. She went on to appear opposite Paul Newman in 1982's The Verdict and George Burns in 1984's Oh, God! You Devil. Later credits include 2002's The Good Girl with Jennifer Aniston and Jake Gyllenhaal, Moonlight Mile also with Gyllenhaal, and 2006's Art School Confidential and Letters From Iwo Jima, Clint Eastwood's World War II drama.

Casnoff's Career on Film and TV

Casnoff began working in film around the same time as his future wife, appearing in several low-budget productions in the late 1970s and 1980s. He later appeared in How Stella Got Her Groove Back in 1998 and the teen comedy Material Girls, starring Hilary and Haylie Duff, in 2006.

One of his most recent big-screen roles came in 2017's The Post, Spielberg's film about the controversy surrounding the publication of the Pentagon Papers. Casnoff appeared alongside Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep as Washington Post reporter Chalmers Roberts, who wrote many of the paper's Pentagon Papers stories.

Casnoff has been more prolific on television, best known for playing Major Elkanah Bent in the 1985 and 1986 miniseries North and South, and for the title role in the 1992 TV movie Sinatra, about singer Frank Sinatra, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.
