Russian office workers can integrate lingerie style clothing into their work outfits by pairing silk tops and satin skirts with formal jackets, according to fashion expert Yulia Novoselova.
Novoselova, who serves as the head of the clothing department at retail platform CDEK.Shopping, shared the wardrobe recommendations in comments provided to Russian news outlet Lenta.ru on September 20, 2026.

Novoselova stated that wearing a silk top instead of a standard button down shirt is entirely appropriate for an office environment, provided the fabric is chosen carefully. She explained that fabric choice is crucial, noting that thin or semi transparent materials are better saved for evening occasions. Instead, she recommended selecting tops made from dense silk, satin, or high quality viscose, and combining them with a tailored jacket and classic straight leg or wide leg trousers.
Midi length satin skirts are another suitable option for workplace attire, Novoselova noted. She advised balancing the lightweight texture of satin with heavier fabrics on top, such as an oversized sweater, a tailored blazer, or a cotton shirt cut in a classic menswear style.
