Actress Selma Blair has gone swimming during a sun-soaked beach getaway in Los Cabos, Mexico, a year after announcing her multiple sclerosis is in remission.

The 54-year-old star showcased her trim figure in a triangle bikini top with coordinating swimsuit bottoms beneath a sheer cover-up as she frolicked in the warm ocean water.

Determined to make the most of her summer vacation abroad, Blair topped up her tan before taking a refreshing swim while wearing a pair of goggles to fully explore the sea.

The actress was seen emerging from the ocean with her goggles on before eventually removing them and floating along the waves with a smile on her face.

Vacation After MS Remission

Blair's relaxing trip to Los Cabos comes after enduring a harrowing health ordeal following her multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Last year, the actress was happy to report that she was in remission.

With a smile on her face as she swam about, Blair appeared to have quite the weight lifted off her shoulders during her ocean dip.

Multiple sclerosis is a central nervous system condition that damages nerves and affects electrical signals in the brain. The illness can cause muscle weakness, vision changes, numbness, and memory loss.

Blair first revealed her diagnosis in 2018 in a social media post, writing: "I have #multiplesclerosis. I am in an exacerbation. By the grace of the lord, and will power and the understanding producers at Netflix, I have a job."

"A wonderful job. I am disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps. But we are doing it," she continued.

The actress added at the time: "And I laugh and I don't know exactly what I will do precisely but I will do my best."

Relapse Free Status and Recovery

Following her diagnosis, Blair began using a cane, calling the walking aid a "necessity for me" amidst her health troubles. She was pictured using a cane in March 2026.

However, last year Blair was happy to tell People magazine that she was "truly relapse-free" from symptoms and "feeling really well."

"Now that I actually have stamina and energy and getting out and going out isn't so scary," she told the outlet about her recovery.

Blair attributed her improvement to finally finding "the right treatment for me" after years of searching.

"I'm relapse-free. I found the right treatment for me, finally. It took many years and a lot of false starts. But I didn't give up," she told New Beauty in January 2026.

She expressed that she was able to "find the right doctor" while sharing that she is still in the process of "healing."

"When I go out, I realize: I'm the grown-up in the room. If we're not going to be the ones cheerleading or having a good time, who is? I think we can have a responsibility to bring whatever joy we can," Blair shared.

Future Hopes and Career Achievements

Blair also expressed that she was "excited" for what is in store for her in 2026.

"I hope for a whole turning of the page. People are mired in what they can't do or the things they fear," she said. "But we're still standing. We're okay. I want a shift toward people being kind and supportive again. I think people are craving connection."
