Sienna Miller has revealed she turns to Alexa Chung, the fiancée of her ex-partner Tom Sturridge, for style advice, and that her teenage daughter Marlowe raids both women's wardrobes for outfits.
Sienna, 44, shares 13-year-old Marlowe with Sturridge, 40, who she split from in 2015. Sturridge has been dating Chung, 42, for four years, and the pair went public with their romance when they attended Wimbledon in 2022 and sat with Sienna and her partner Oli Green, 29.
Speaking to British Vogue, Sienna admitted she has been in a "strange place" with her sense of style since welcoming her third child in May. "I literally have to text my friends who have great style and ask them to help me," she said.
A text to Alexa before the red carpet
When Sienna was invited to the London premiere of Oasis' new documentary last week, she turned to Chung for help. "I texted her and said, 'I'm going to the Oasis premiere tonight. What do I wear?' And she said, 'If I were blonde, I'd be in a slutty black dress all day long. Find something Carrie Bradshaw and put it with a mule.' I replied, 'Googling mule...'"
Following Chung's advice, Sienna walked the red carpet in a camel wool coat layered over a form-fitting black dress and pink suede heels.
Marlowe raids both wardrobes
Sienna revealed that Marlowe now has a wide array of designer looks at her fingertips thanks to both her mother and Chung. "She's got it all going on. She's very cool," Sienna said. "She says she likes bottom halves from me and top halves from Alexa, and she doesn't hold back with the criticism."
Sienna recalled one recent fashion mishap involving her daughter's blunt feedback. "The other day, I put on this Chloe suede jacket, a really beautiful blue, gorgeous, cape-y thing, and she just went, 'Napoleoooon!' So I took it off. I do feel like I've got this great usurper in my midst."
A growing family
Sienna welcomed her third child, a son, with Green in May. The couple are also parents to a two-year-old daughter. Speaking to Vogue last month, Sienna spoke candidly about her surprise pregnancies in her 40s, saying she "wanted another baby for so long but didn't think it would happen."
"I'd wanted another baby for so long that my postpartum was just bliss," she told the magazine. "I had thought, by the time I was 40, that it wouldn't happen. That I'd have my one baby and I kind of made peace with it. It was such a surprise, and it was such a bonus that I was just euphoric. I felt existentially relieved."
Tom Sturridge and Alexa Chung's engagement
In 2024, two years after debuting their romance at Wimbledon, Sturridge and Chung sparked engagement speculation after they were seen wearing matching rings. Sources close to the couple later reported that Chung had confirmed the engagement to friends and that the pair had begun planning an intimate wedding.
