A haircut popular among supermodels in the 1990s has become a trend in 2026, Vogue magazine reported. The shoulder-length hairstyle is known as the slip bob.
The haircut received its name by analogy with the slip dress. Its hidden graduation allows hair to fall freely and softly onto the shoulders, mimicking the movement of silk fabric. Unlike a classic bob, this technique excludes sharp cuts and hard contours.
Celebrity styles
Famous models Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford, alongside Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, previously wore the hairstyle. They preferred versions featuring a side part or side-swept bangs.
Current stars have also shown interest in the hairstyle. Model Hailey Bieber and actress Margot Robbie demonstrated the slip bob paired with a center part.
In June, it was reported that the Scandinavian bob haircut became the trend of summer 2026.
