Spanish rock musician Iñaki Antón is touring Spain with his new band Rebrote.
The 62-year-old guitarist, also known by the nickname Uoho, is recognized for his work in the bands Platero y Tú, Extremoduro and Inconscientes. He formed the new group alongside singer Jaime Moreno of The Electric Alley, creating what has been described as a chemically pure rock and roll party.
Rebrote features two other former Extremoduro members, bassist Miguel Colino and drummer José Ignacio Cantera, alongside guitarist Jaime Tejedor and pianist Íñigo López.

Antón said his energetic stage presence is driven more by passion than genetics or stubbornness. He said he continues to jump on stage like he did when he was 32, though he acknowledged his legs can no longer lift a body so full of mistakes as high as they used to.
The musician said he had always imagined he would still be making records and playing live at this stage of his life, but had not anticipated that his body would change faster than his lifestyle.
Health scares
Antón has faced severe health issues in recent years, including persistent Covid and scares concerning his heart, lungs and kidneys.
He said he once thought he was indestructible, but has learned he is far from it. He said he now feels much more vulnerable, and that the feeling suits him.
He credited his mind for keeping him afloat during the darkest parts of his recent struggles, adding that he is happy with who he is and feels he has time to improve.
Open interpretations
The band's name, Rebrote, can be interpreted as a rebirth or resurgence. Antón said he likes names that offer open interpretations, adding that the word phonetically resembles one of Cantera's drum endings and is amusing when French or English speakers try to pronounce it.
The guitarist said he hopes to continue playing for a long time. He said that while his jumping might eventually give way to a calmer and deeper style of performance, he would also be comfortable transitioning to a contemplative life without remorse.
Looking back, Antón said he would not change his career path because he had experienced such satisfying and beautiful moments. He said it would be immoral to complain or regret his journey.
Parrots and fire
When asked about a quote attributed to Winston Churchill stating that parrots begin to chatter when eagles fall silent, Antón agreed with the sentiment but said people will have to continue living with the chatter.
Responding to a question about whether he had a light, the guitarist said he carries several kinds of fire with him and told the interviewer to choose well.
