Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun were seen passionately kissing during a romantic gondola ride in Venice on Thursday afternoon.
The couple have jetted into the Italian city ahead of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, making the most of local traditions as they embarked on the boat trip.
The 28-year-old Euphoria and Anyone But You star wore a plunging white summer dress, draping a yellow jumper over her shoulders as she enjoyed a clinch with the 45-year-old mogul.
Braun, the prominent talent manager and record executive who discovered Justin Bieber, wore blue shorts, a crisp white shirt and a backwards baseball cap.
The pair looked every inch the Hollywood power couple in their dark glasses and designer ensembles. During the jaunt on the water, they were incredibly giddy and went from kissing to giggling.
The passionate couple shared an intimate moment on their gondola date, with Braun lovingly putting his hand on Sweeney's lap while she gazed into her boyfriend's eyes.
Sweeney could not wipe the smile off her face. After getting off a water taxi later, the couple were seen holding hands in the city, with the actress looking chic in her summer dress.
Sweeney does not have any film projects to promote at this year's annual festival. She rose to international prominence through her Emmy-nominated performance as Cassie Howard in the HBO teen drama Euphoria, and has since become a major box office draw.
Instead of promoting a new release, she will act as a poster girl for Armani Beauty and will appear on the red carpets alongside model Kendall Jenner.
Los Angeles family outing
Prior to their trip to Italy, Sweeney and Braun were spotted out and about in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon.
The actress looked affectionate with Braun's children as the group went for a stroll after school, before stopping for smoothies.
Braun is one of the most powerful executives in the music industry, guiding the careers of global superstars such as Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato. He shares three children with his ex-wife, Yael Cohen: 11-year-old Jagger Joseph, nine-year-old Levi Magnus, and seven-year-old Hart Violet.
The music executive tied the knot with Cohen, an entrepreneur, in 2014. Their marriage ended in 2021 when Braun filed for divorce, which was officially finalised in 2022.
Relationship timeline
The Los Angeles outing marked a major development in the couple's romance, which began months after they first met at the Venice wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in June 2025.
Sweeney ended her engagement to her longtime partner Jonathan Davino in early 2025. She has been romantically linked to Braun since September of that year.
When she first started seeing Braun, sources reported that they were attempting to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
"Sydney and Scooter are still seeing each other and trying to be as low-key as possible, while still dating and having fun," one source claimed at the time. "They are just taking things slow and enjoying their time together."
By December, it was revealed that their status had progressed, with sources describing the couple as "serious".
"Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great," the source stated. "They’re in a committed relationship, and things are serious."
Navigating public romance
In January this year, Sweeney was asked about the ongoing speculation surrounding her love life.
"Sometimes I’ll think that I can do a normal thing and have a date in a normal way, and then it gets perceived in a very non-normal way. It’s kind of sad," she said.
Discussing the challenge of going public with a romance, she noted the difficulty of managing expectations as a young person in the public eye.
"I understand that I’m a public person, but I’m still in my 20s. I’m still figuring out love, and it’s hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like," she said.
"At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work, and now I want to experience things. But it’s hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I’m just navigating it all."
Braun also briefly discussed his personal life earlier in the year. In May, the executive said: "I’ve met an extraordinary woman who is kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth."
Venice Film Festival arrivals
The Venice International Film Festival, held annually on the Lido, is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious cinema events. It regularly draws high-profile celebrities to the Italian city and serves as a major launchpad for the autumn awards season.
Among those arriving for the 83rd edition was Georgina Rodriguez, the newly-married wife of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. She made a jaw-dropping arrival on a water taxi, looking dazzling in a designer outfit.
The WAG looked glamorous in a brown Intimissimi bra and shirt.
