Streaming service Netflix has released the first teaser for the fourth season of political thriller series The Diplomat, starring Keri Russell as US Ambassador to the United Kingdom Kate Wyler.
The new season follows Kate Wyler as she faces fresh political intrigue and global challenges in London. At the epicenter of these crises is her husband Hal Wyler, a fellow diplomat who has taken office as Vice President of the United States, while Kate also attempts to save her marriage.
All eight episodes of the fourth season will premiere simultaneously on October 15, 2026, on the streaming platform.
Returning Cast and Roles
Keri Russell returns to lead the cast alongside Rufus Sewell as US Vice President Hal Wyler. Allison Janney reprises her role as US President Grace Penn, while Bradley Whitford returns as First Gentleman Todd Penn.
The ensemble cast also includes Rory Kinnear as British Prime Minister Nicol Trowbridge and David Gyasi as British Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison. Representing the American diplomatic team and intelligence personnel in London are Ali Ahn as CIA Station Chief Eidra Park, Ato Essandoh as Deputy Chief of Mission Stuart Hayford, and Nana Mensah as White House Chief of Staff Billie Appiah.
