The Mummy 4 has added original cast members Kevin J. O'Connor and Oded Fehr to join stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz in the upcoming adventure sequel. Fraser and Weisz are returning to their roles as Rick O'Connell and Evelyn O'Connell, building expectations for the return of the popular late 1990s movie franchise.
The production is bringing back multiple original cast members who played key roles in the early films of the series. Kevin J. O'Connor will return as Beni Gabor, the former companion of Rick O'Connell who ultimately allied with Imhotep in the first movie. The return of the character is especially striking given the fate he met in that original story.
Oded Fehr is also returning to the franchise as Ardeth Bay, the leader of a secret society of warriors dedicated to protecting Egypt from the threat of Imhotep. Both actors join Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, and John Hannah, who will reprise his role as Jonathan Carnahan. The cast also features Numan Acar in a role that has not yet been revealed.
Production team and release schedule
Plot details for the fourth movie are currently being kept under wraps. David Coggeshall wrote the script for the feature, while Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known collectively as Radio Silence, will direct. The filmmaking pair previously directed Ready or Not and Scream 6.
The Mummy 4 is scheduled for release in cinemas on October 15, 2027, giving fans time to await further updates about the story and additional casting announcements.
