Tommy Hilfiger brought its Spring 2027 collection to The Plaza Hotel in New York City on Sept. 10 for New York Fashion Week, with Gigi Hadid, Romeo Beckham and Abby Champion among the models who walked the runway.

The choice of venue was a personal one for the designer. Tommy Hilfiger and his wife of 17 years, Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, lived in a penthouse inside The Plaza for more than a decade before moving out in 2019, making the show a full circle moment for the couple.

"I've long been inspired by American icons and there are few places that embody that spirit more than The Plaza," Hilfiger said in a statement ahead of the show. "From Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, generations of cultural greats have passed through its doors, and this fall we welcome in a new era of brand ambassadors and campaign stars. If those walls could talk, they would tell some of the city's greatest stories."

Travis Kelce Joins the Brand
Among the new faces of that era is Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who is fronting a collaboration line with Tommy Hilfiger officially set to launch in spring 2027.

Kelce told Vogue that he had loved the brand since he was a teenager. "I remember asking my mom for one of [Tommy's] sailing gear jackets when I was in high school," he said. "They had so much personality. And I loved his sportswear. The rugbies with the oversized fit and the classic Tommy tee... it's pretty surreal to come full circle and now be working with the man himself."

Hilfiger on Working With Kelce
Hilfiger said he was equally enthusiastic about bringing Kelce's collection to shoppers. "He's not only a star athlete," Hilfiger told Vogue, "but he's got charisma. His personality is pretty amazing. He's so positive, so upbeat, and a lot of fun. But he's very serious about loving fashion. And he grew up wearing my clothes. When we took him into the archive, he was like a kid in a candy store. I just love his love of life."

The Plaza Hotel, a landmark on Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park, has long been a fixture of New York high society and popular culture, hosting decades of celebrities, film shoots and society events. Hilfiger's own history with the building, having called it home for more than ten years, gave the Spring 2027 show an added layer of significance as he introduced his newest ambassador there.

What's Next for the Collaboration
Details of the Kelce collection remain largely under wraps ahead of its spring 2027 debut. "I can't give too much away just yet," Kelce teased, "but it's definitely a reflection of both our worlds coming together."

The Spring 2027 show also featured looks from models including Gigi Hadid, Romeo Beckham and Abby Champion, who each took turns down the runway inside the historic hotel as Tommy Hilfiger closed out its New York Fashion Week presentation.
