Half a century after the release of “Pescado 2”, an Argentine rock classic

It has Argentine rock classics, a unique band behind it, a very special story and half a century of life. Yeah, “Pescado 2”, one of Pescado Rabioso’s emblematic records turns 50.

It is the mythical double album of the group composed of Luis Alberto Spinetta, David Lebón, Carlos Cutaia and Black Amaya.

That said, the album includes Argentine rock classics such as “Credulidad”, “Como elviento voy a ver”, “Cristálida”, “Nena boba” and “Hola dulceviento”, which was the first composition written and sung by Lebón, who re-recorded it in 2019 with Emmanuel Horvilleur in his hit “Lebón & Co”.

“Pescado 2” was released in March 1973. It was an ambitious 18-song work, which included orchestral arrangements on “Cristálida” and a luxurious presentation with a 52-page booklet.

The recording was made between December 1972 and February 1973 at the Phonalex studios in Núñez, just a few months after the previous album, “Desatormentándonos”.

The cover is an iconic design made by Flaco himself with his brother Gustavo, with an imaginary animal in the shape of an eel.

It was Pescado Rabioso’s last group worksince the next title was “Artaud”, a solo album by Spinetta, which for contractual reasons was released under the name of the group.
