In order for the intestines to work like a clock, first of all, they do not need healthy proteins and fats, but a sufficient amount of liquid.

“Water is important for the intestines – at least 1.5 liters of fluid per day. If he has no water, he will take his own anyway. He will wash away the contents of digested food, then it will become dense, hard, dry and will move around in the intestines for a very, very long time,” explains the doctor.

It is important to understand that not all drinks replenish water balance. Some drinks, such as coffee, fruit juices and sodas, on the contrary, “take away” fluid, make the excretory system work more actively and cause dehydration. So it is better to drink more plain water.
