How long can you wear the same brief: check if it’s time for you to buy new ones!

Internet experts say that panties should be updated at least once every six months. In the meantime, most of us have been wearing the same underwear for years. Where is the real truth and how often should you update your basic intimate wardrobe?

In social networks there is often a recommendation on updating underwear. Health bloggers and lingerie brand owners insist that underwear can only last six months, and up to a year if you wear them infrequently.

Such a short period is explained by the fact that over time, pathogenic bacteria accumulate on the surface of tissues: such as E. coli and fungi. They can’t be beat with regular washing, so it’s best to throw out your underwear regularly.

However, the underwear is not so cheap that we can completely renew our underwear stocks so often. Many wear underwear until they lose their normal appearance. And after that, these shorts often migrate to the “lingerie nowadays” category – when you need to wear something that is not a pity.

Of course, there is a risk that the bacteria will persist and accumulate in the tissues. Especially when it comes to synthetic materials. However, a more thorough wash, either at high temperatures or using antibacterial agents, helps keep things safe and clean, so you don’t have to get upset and worry about get something from your own laundry.

It turns out that the same shorts can be worn as much as you want: as long as they are fitted, they do not rub anywhere, they do not cause profuse sweating and other uncomfortable sensations.
