Batgirl: Warner Bros. sued over this never-released film

Batgirl: The Cursed DCEU Movie

In August 2022, we learned that the film Bad girlwhich centered on Barbara Gordon, was buried by Warner Bros. The film, already shot, was anyway has already cost the studio $90 million. A truly surprising decision on the part of Warner, who didn’t even make the decision to confine the feature film to streaming on HBO Max.

The studio preferred to throw the 90 million already spent in the garbage, rather than allocate more to post-production and any reshoots of the film. However, the project had something to seduce, including a solid cast around Leslie Grace in the lead role.

In fact, Michael Keaton would reprise his role as Batman, just as JK Simmons would return as Gordon and Brendan Fraser would play the antagonist Firefly. However, the first (and only) images from the feature made you want to see more.

A lawsuit that could cost Warner Bros dearly

While the film Bad girl had already made headlines for its cancellation, a new event has further tarnished its reputation. In fact, an extra in the film, Cristina Stanovici, decided to file a complaint against Warner Bros. following a serious motorcycle accident on the film set. He shared details of his injuries and the long healing process he had to undergo.

According to information reported by the magazine The sunthe young woman was hit by a motorbike equipped with cameras during the filming of the film Bad girl. She describes the violent impact who threw her into the air and the interminable time she spent on the ground, waiting for adequate medical help.

Mentions serious injuries, including multiple fractures, and a surgery that lasted more than five hours. Even though 17 months have passed since the accident, she still feels constant pain and still requires reconstructive surgery.

She said:

The anesthesiologist said “fingers crossed for you,” which really made my blood run cold. The surgeon told me it was one of the worst cases he had seen in his eight years in the hospital. I went through what I hope were the most difficult times of my life alone. Even after 17 months, my leg still hurts and I feel weak. Not to mention it’s distorted, which adds to my trauma.

Currently, Warner Bros. has not yet reacted to the young woman’s complaintand the amount of damages sought is unknown.
